Lo de final es probable: el de Occidente, incluso aunque pierda Obama. Lo de feliz, ya veremos. Rara vez acierta el pueblo cuando vota. ¿Ejemplos que avalen la tesis? Con los de Bush y Zapatero, basta. ¿Y cómo no van a equivocarse los de abajo si la alternativa que se les ofrece es la de Rajoy, Al Gore o Kerry? Marra, por fuerza, a no ser que opte por la abstención o el voto en blanco, quien se ve constreñido a elegir entre Guatemala y Guatepeor. No existen otros topónimos en el mapa de la política. A pensamiento único, plato único: lentejas. Ya saben: las dejas o las tomas hasta que se te salgan por las orejas. Los políticos, en el mundo de hoy, son como los banqueros: no inspiran confianza. ¡Pandilla de incompetentes! Políticas de fuste, en cambio, con a de mujer, sí que las hay. Yo conozco tres. Una de ellas es Sarah Palin. Ya sé que le llueven palos por todas partes. ¡Pues más a mi favor, porque quienes se los dan son gentes a las que yo se los daría! Los progres, para entendernos. Fauna de gallinero, de conejera o de pesebre. Sé de lo que hablo, porque lo fui en la adolescencia. Peste aviar, mixomatosis, pezuña azul: el síndrome puede ser de acné, como en mi caso, o crónico, como en el de quienes ahora están haciendo vudú de Kenia para que gane Obama. En Europa hay muchos. En España, ni les cuento (abundan, incluso, entre los maricomplejines de Rajoy). En Estados Unidos, por lo que dicen, también. Bastaría con eso, con pasar lista a los que apuestan por el supuesto caballo ganador, para que yo me inclinase por McCain, que tampoco es como para dar palmas. ¿Perderá éste? No. Perderá Bush, pero lo malo es que si no pierde Obama, perderemos todos. ¡Un socialista al frente del país de la libertad! ¿Derribará la estatua que aún saluda a quien llega a Nueva York? ¡Un ilusionista en el Capitolio! Acudo al diccionario. Ilusionismo: arte de conseguir efectos de ilusión en los espectadores mediante trucos. Ilusión: concepto o imagen formados en la mente que no corresponden a la realidad. Iluso: quien se forma esperanzas sin fundamento. Obama es un mago vestido de happy birthday en cuya chistera no hay halcones ni palomas. Sólo humo. De su boca no ha salido una idea. Su único activo es la negritud. Si no fuese negro, casi nadie le votaría. Los progres, los pobres, los hispanos, los afroamericanos, los adolescentes y Zapatero son racistas: creen que el color de la piel cuenta. La masa encefálica, no. Rojo y negro: premio seguro en Las Vegas. Lo paradójico es que, si pierde Obama, su derrota también habrá obedecido al peso de la melanina. Racistas los unos, racistas los otros. Si yo tuviera calabaza en ese Halloween, votaría a la Palin, aunque fuese negra, pero no por serlo. Quizá dentro de cuatro años exista la posibilidad de que los de allí lo hagan. ¿Soy un iluso?

Hola. Discrepo. ¿Es el principal “activo” de Obama ser negro? Nooo. Le han votado en masa como forma de castigo al borrachín ultrarreligioso que le precede, nada más. Al contrario, ser negro probablemente le ha restado votos. Por cierto, es un político negro, no un negro en política, y es que, quedando bien claro que odio ese paternalismo de blanco progre a la moda, la negritud (más allá de su propio carácter fagocitario, estúdiese la Historia) ha sido y es, in-dis-cu-ti-ble-men-te, explotada. Como somos hombres, más allá de todo credo o color, lo que no podemos es mirarnos a unos a otros a través del prisma de una serie de prejuicios, de modo que los negros parezcan distintos, o en cierto modo, lejanos, a nuestra propia condición. Sinceramente, se hace difícil entender la reticencia del hombre blanco, y en especial, del judeocristiano, a reconocer el origen de su próspera sociedad, origen que enraiza directamente con los beneficios económicos de la trata de esclavos, negocio que sentó las bases del futuro desarrollo de la revolución industrial (la máquina de vapor de Watt, por ejemplo, y qué icónico ejemplo, ¿quién la financió, caballeros?, infórmense)y de la propia civilización capitalista (esto lo reconoce hasta Hugh Thomas, que no es precisamente un revolucionario). O lo que es lo mismo: los crímenes de la Historia deberían estudiarse en las escuelas con el fin de que no se repitieran. La elección de Obama es un triunfo del sistema, en tanto que un negro alcanza, por (en principio) mérito individual, el mismo objetivo que un blanco. Otro tema sería a entrar a valorar el propio sistema, en que yo, por supuesto, no creo, así como hablar de la demagogia encubierta que supone encaramar a la cima a un elitista africano esperando acaso ocultar el trato discriminatorio que (más allá de su, en ocasiones, propia responsabilidad) sufren millones de negros. Así que, en lo que discrepo, Dragó, es en algo que creo subyace en tu escrito: la molestia que se deriva de un discurso negro: no hay tal discurso en boca de Obama. Y es una lástima, porque no existe nada peor que correr un tupido velo sobre las atrocidades, sobre la barbarie, de nuestra civilización. Un hombre intelectualmente libre no puede menos que reconocer la enorme responsabilidad de la sociedad “blanca” en el atraso cultural, económico, y en consecuencia, moral, del llamado mundo “negro”. No se trata de crear víctimas y verdugos, sino de ser honrado con la Historia, y es que no se lleva el progreso a las culturas, digamos, subdesarrolladas (y ya este adjetivo sería un punto a discutir), con cañones y cadenas. Yo siempre dije que son el mismo perro con distinto collar, pero me retracto. Es cierto que hay diferencias sustanciales entre ambos candidatos. Por un momento voy a olvidarme de que ambos están a favor de la pena de muerte (sí, Obama también); que ambos aprueban la existencia del ‘muro’ con México (garitas, armas y perros); que ambos serían incapaces —en el hipotético caso de que ésa fuese su intención— de limitar el irracional (pero legal) uso de armas que hay en el país; que ambos son cautivos de los auténticos poderes económicos que marcan el rumbo del país (ya sean estos poderes cancerígenos o beneficiosos para el devenir social; esa considación se la dejo al liberal).
En fin… esperaba más rigor de usted.

Gemio sea incapaz de argumentar ni con un solo pensamiento inteligente que llevarse a la “oreja”.
