En la lista de los diez libros de ficción más vendidos, según El Cultural de El Mundo, figuran cuatro novelas de Stephanie Meyer y dos de Stieg Larsson. Las primeras son de vampiros. Las segundas, me dicen, policiacas. Los lectores mayoritarios son víctimas, y a la vez verdugos, del pensamiento único.
No he leído nada de esos dos autores. Me aburre la literatura fantástica, a no ser que sea de ciencia-ficción, y lo mismo, en líneas generales, podría decir de las novelas en las que se resuelven crímenes.
Excepciones: Conan Doyle y Simenon. Pero nunca me ha gustado la serie negra.
No leo para entretenerme ni, menos aún, para distraerme, sino para lo contrario: concentrarme, prestar atención… La gente, por lo visto, se aburre. ¿Aburrirse? ¿Hay algo más divertido que mirar hacia dentro? ¿No está eso al alcance de todo el mundo en cualquier tiempo, circunstancia y lugar?
Más pececillos… Sale por la tele uno de los pepeístas valencianos implicados por Garzón Yavé en no sé qué turbio asunto de sastrería y dice: “Manifestamos la absoluta negación de…”.
Jerigonza de los políticos. ¿Ignora ese señor que debería haber dicho “negamos tajantemente”? Pues sí: lo ignora.
Sus congéneres, sean de la cuerda que sean, y también los todólogos de las tertulias radiofónicas y televisivas, recurren a razón de diez veces por minuto a muletillas tan tediosas, inútiles y cursis como “con lo que está cayendo”, “de mucho calado”, “verde y con asas”, “blanco y en jarra”, “se puede decir más alto, pero no más claro”, “puro y duro” o “como no podía ser de otra manera”.
Hay una locutora en Radio Nacional que dice “escuchantes” en vez de decir “oyentes”.
El otro día mencionó alguien por la radio un perfume de mucha “flagrancia”. Como lo pille Garzón, lo empapela. Al perfume, digo, no a la lumbrera que lo recomendó.
Última perla encontrada en las ostras del analfabetismo de la telecaca: “entre comitas”. Lo dijo una de esas presentadoras que son todo tetas.
Si no saben hablar, ¿cómo van a gobernar, opinar o informar?
Pues yo me quedo con unos pececillos que me vienen a la mente: los de Laura Restrepo en Delirio.
Asi que prefiero seguir la pista, detrás de dorados peces, de Pablo Escobar antes que tener que “chekar” la tele, escuchar “bye” o comerme la vida de gente que no conozco (esta farándula mexicana) y que no me interesa conocer. Como extraño España pero quizás la España que me imaginé yo, un poco la de Lavapies y otro poco la de Atocha.
Si lo malo de España es la envidia o tener como ejemplo el modelo de la picaresca en la vida cotidiana, entonces, nosotros latinoamericanos hemos heredado lo peor, añadiendo, claro está, un poco de borrachera, golpes, engaños, mentiras pero todo esto dicho en inglés.
Qué tiene en contra de escuchante? En ese programa de radio lo utilizan para hacer hincapié en que no es lo mismo oír que escuchar. Habrán inventado una palabra, pero eso sólo lo prohíbe la Real Academia.
Me sigo preguntando qué es “hablar bien”. Entiendo que haya gente muy cultivada y muy erudita cuya manera de hablar se acerque a lo que mandan los cánones. Entiendo que exista una forma ‘estándar’ de la ‘lengua’, con sus libros de gramática y diccionarios, que pueda ser útil en las sociedades complejas en que vivimos. Pero me cuesta entender que se critique la manera de hablar de los demás, como si unos supieran hablar mejor que otros y eso les permitiera ejercer de ‘jueces’.
Conocer mejor las reglas significa conocer mejor las reglas, y poco más. La lengua está en el calle, en las tierras de labranza, la oímos en boca del analfabeto o del que ha ido poco a escuela, o del que no está tan preocupado por ser ‘correcto’. La lengua es algo vivo, aunque haya quien prefiera clausurarla como un venerable objeto de simpar pureza.
-Como se puede atrever una Portuguesa ( de pelo largo q.b.) a expresarse en este campo de batalla que es el Castellano ?
