Del toreo como éxtasis
En griego de nuestros días «éxtasis» significa «parada de autobús»: allí se detiene el tiempo y los usuarios se suben a un vehículo que los conducirá a un lugar lejano: el del arrobo o estado de conciencia alterada y situada fuera del mundo sensible en el que se sumerge el aficionado cada vez que el torero cita, para, templa, manda, liga y carga la suerte, respetando los cánones y, a la vez, reinventándolos, frente a los pitones de un toro bravo.
Ése es, de todos los momentos y emociones que la vida me ha ofrecido, el que yo prefiero, el más estimulante, el más revelador y embriagador, el más excelso, el que más felicidad me ha dado, el que más me dolerá perder cuando la muerte se me lleve.
«Y yo me iré», decía Juan Ramón, «y se quedarán los pájaros cantando», y José Tomás, o el que lo herede, seguirá toreando al natural, de frente y por derecho con el alma puesta en el punto de la plaza donde otros sólo ponen la muleta y, si acaso, que no es poco, la mirada, la femoral y los testículos.
A nadie quiero convencer de nada. El apostolado, en el toreo, es ocioso. Dirijo sólo este cantar a quienes conmigo van. Las emociones no se explican: se sienten, y quien no sienta en la plaza lo que sentimos los aficionados, jamás lo sentirá ni lo entenderá. Déjenos en lo nuestro, dedíquese a otras cosas.
La tauromaquia es -por encima de cualquier otra definición o comparación posibles, y son muchas las que le cuadran- un sacramento. Vale decir: la manifestación de algo visible que provoca en quien lo ve (y más aún en quien lo genera) un estado de gracia procedente de lo invisible. El torero es un místico que al torear levita, el espectador es un devoto y la faena es un trance.
Echemos mano del catecismo, repasemos -aunque cabría irse a otros ámbitos, pero con éste basta- la lista de los sacramentos que la Iglesia de Roma nos propone.
Bautismo: el torero borra el pecado original -que es el de la cobardía, el de negarse a admitir que toda vida es, por definición, pericolosa y no tiene más horizonte que la muerte- y busca, como lo hizo Teseo al perderse en el laberinto de los lances, los terrenos y los tercios del Minotauro, su propio centro de gravedad. Es la apuesta y la ruta -la tentativa del hombre infinito- del nosce te ipsum (conócete a ti mismo) y del ne te qaesiveris extra (conviértete en quien eres) para no haber vivido en vano.
Confirmación: el novillero es sólo un catecúmeno. Hay que tomar la alternativa y confirmarla después en la basílica del Vaticano de Las Ventas y ante un obispo de Roma -el que la preside- para llegar a ser torero de verdad.
Orden sacerdotal: a partir de ese instante -el de la alternativa y su confirmación- ya no hay vuelta atrás. Se ha cruzado el Rubicón, la suerte está echada, la ceremonia imprime carácter y el torero es ya, y lo es para siempre, del mismo modo que el cura sigue siéndolo aunque ahorque los hábitos, matador, maestro, sumo sacerdote, pontifex maximus, hierofante.
Penitencia: el torero se confiesa -revela su personalidad- en público, y frente al público, y éste lo perdona con el ego te absolvo del silencio, lo premia con los olés y los pañuelos o, cuando a su juicio peca, esto es, cuando conculca los cánones de la doctrina, del Dogma o del devocionario de la tauromaquia, le impone la penitencia del silbido, del abucheo, de la bronca, y le niega -impidiéndoselo- hasta el saludo.
Matrimonio: el torero es ying, mujer, cuando hace el paseíllo y se pavonea, cuando se adorna, cuando embarca al animal en el vuelo -verónica o lo que sea- de su falda, cuando ofrece la taleguilla y abre el compás de sus piernas para que el toro -macho, varón, yang- se encele, acuda al reclamo de la hembra y embista su ingle con el falo de los pitones. Luego, a lo largo de la corrida (¿corrida?), van cambiándose las tornas por contacto, por ósmosis, por empatía, por trasvase, por contagio, por restregón y achuchón, hasta formar -el torero y el toro- volcándose, recibiendo o al encuentro, lo que el latino llamaba «monstruo de las dos espaldas». ¿Tercio de muerte o tercio de cópula? El estoque, erguida verga de curvo bálano, se hunde hasta la cruceta en el hoyo o coño de las agujas, golfo de sombras éste (lo dijo Alberti) que tiene, como el pubis femenino y el símbolo del feminismo, forma de triángulo isósceles.
El torero, tras consumar así el matrimonio, se yergue, jaquetón, y el toro, convertido en esposa desflorada, se derrumba con las patas por alto mientras los ojos se le vidrian al sentir que lo inunda el orgasmo de la muerte. De la herida, por cierto, brota sangre: la del himen.
Y, por último, eucaristía. A las cinco de la tarde (a las siete hoy, pero sigue siendo la hora lorquiana de Ignacio Sánchez Mejías), cuando el sol inicia el declive del crepúsculo y con él se retira la energía de esa metáfora del mundo que es el ruedo, la sangre derramada actúa como savia sabia que mantiene la vida del planeta durante el letargo nocturno. Y así la tauromaquia, transformándose en pascua de resurrección, nos redime como la comunión al feligrés e impide la muerte de la naturaleza y la extinción del ser humano.
Por cierto: la carne del toro -rabo, por lo general (va con segundas… ¡Curiosa felación!)- se come, convertida en Sagrada Forma y acompañada por copiosas libaciones de vino tinto, que parece sangre, altera nuestro estado de conciencia, nos ayuda a encontrar y proclamar la verdad -la veritas del borracho- y, para colmo, como el Grial, se sirve en cáliz. ¿Dije eucaristía?
Embriaguez divina, religión, sacramentalidad, éxtasis… Nadie, en consecuencia, se extrañe si añado ahora que la reaparición de José Tomás el 17 de junio en Barcelona es para la afición algo similar a lo que la parusía -la Segunda Venida- representa para los cristianos. El regreso del Redentor, el retorno del Jedi, la llegada del Reino prometido, la resurrección de la carne y de la idea de España allí donde ésta corre más peligro. ¡Toree luego don José -el Mahdi, Kalki, Maitreya, Quetzalcoátl- en Bilbao, en San Sebastián, en Vitoria, y en Las Ventas como sólo él sabe torear, y el milagro se habrá consumado!
Para terminar, un quite. Encontrábase cierto día José Tomás en el domicilio de Joaquín Sabina, haciendo sobremesa y velada, cuando a uno de los contertulios se le ocurrió lanzar la pregunta de cómo y dónde preferiría morir cada uno de ellos. Fue pasando la vez y la voz, llegó el turno del torero, reflexionó éste, abrió una pausa con orla fúnebre y, recreándose en la suerte, de la respuesta dijo:
-En la plaza.
Ante eso, por mi parte, sólo cabe una reacción. La de exclamar lo mismo que exclamó Dalí cuando, al volver a España tras la guerra se enteró de la muerte de su amigo Federico y, consciente de que aquella estocada asesina era el perfecto remate de la extraordinaria faena compuesta por la vida y obra de Lorca, apostrofó:
-¡Olé!
dice el sánchez dragó:

no me gustan ni el fútbol ni los toros y cualquier defensa ¿poética? que se haga de ellos me aburre, aunque sobre todo me da risa… y algunas veces ganas de hablar de música o de matemáticas. y hablando de ambas cosas una recomendación: vaya a una tienda de discos, o busque en internet, y compre todos los discos que encuentre de un grupo llamado esplendor geométrico, quizá el mejor grupo musical español; una vez que los tenga en casa escúchelos una y otra vez: no se cansará de ellos.
Mire “Insigne”…si me dan a alegir entre una corrida y un polvo, como buen taurino, me quedo con la segunda opción. En otro orden de cosas y siguiendo con las metáforas,suerte con ese morlaco bizco, patizambo y desaborido que es el PSOE. No es ganadería barava, se le advierte. Así que si le presenta los percales por derecho y el cuadrúpedo pasa del engaño y le mete un pitón por donde la espalda pierde el nombre, luego, no se queje. O sí, quéjese. Mejor.

Quería solamente expresarte mi dolor, tras leer sobre ésta, tu última publicación.
No soporto la tauromaquia. Nunca la he soportado. No estoy culturizado en ella y no sé nada de toreros ni de toros. Pero no paro de preguntarme el cómo y el porqué le puede gustar a una persona el sufrimiento ajeno de un animal.
Probablemente seas culto y erudito, y casi seguro verás en mis palabras la ignorancia de un borrego más en este mundo (sé que no se escribir bien del todo, aunque lo intento). Pero, permitemete ser sincero contigo, para nada eres un hombre sabio. Te podrás permitir presumir, llamarte monstruo a ti mismo cada día en el espejo, y dar mil y una lecciones sobre cada mínimo detalle de la filología hispánica y ¿mundial?. Pero sobre lo que es respecto a la vida, a la sensibilidad, y al ser consciente de algo, creo que te falta muchísimo que aprender.
No te conozco. Sólo veo noches blancas (un programa estupendo), pero cada vez que hablas de los toros surge la pregunta reina: ¿Cómo un hombre así….? Supongo que a lo largo de tu vida habrás tenido que responder a miles de críticas sobre tu afición a la tauromaquia, y yo, es algo no voy a cambiar en ti. Pero sólo te pido, que la próxima vez que vayas a una plaza de toros, no te pongas en el lugar del torero, sino del toro. Quiero que observer su jadear y que seas consciente de su sufrimiento. Quiero que por un momento seas ese toro apunto de morir por un espectáculo absurdo y cruel al que se dedica el hombre. Quiero que sientas la espada en tu espalda. Quiero que sientes los gritos de la gente antes de fallecer. Quiero que sientas todo el dolor que siente un animal al ser sacrificado para NADA.
¿Falta de empatía? ¿de sensibilidad? ¿Tanto has dedicado tu vida a los estudios que se te ha olvidado el sentir, el ponerte en el lugar de otro ser?
¡Olé! Claro que sí… y la muerte y el sufrimiento es un arte. Y los pañuelos y los vítores cultura.
¿En clase de mundo vivimos Dragó? ¿No puedes verlo?
Para mi, tan sólo un ignorante y un borrego más que te escribe, la tauromaquia es el neocoliseo de nuestros tiempos. Es el abuso y la diversión corrupta del hombre. La verdadera crueldad, indiferencia, y estupidez inhumana concentrada.
No consigo comprender.
Y quizá tú puedas hacerlo debido a que un sentimiento no se puede explicar… pero dime… ¿A eso se le puede llamar sentimiento?
Creo que se ha perdido la esencia del sentir.

Ya está otra vez el Dragó monotemático. Toros, toros y más toros. Cada día me disgusta más este blog. Apología del asesinato.
Buenos días señor Dragó, tengo que confesarle que en un momento dado, antes de su aterrizaje en telemadrid me parecía usted un personaje cuando menos curioso, con ese interés por el mundo oriental, sus prácticas de sexo tántrico, … Pero quería decirle que, al contrario de lo que parecía en un principio cuando comenzó el diario de la noche, que a mi me daba la impresión de que sería usted más moderado, más de ningún equipo, parece ser que el poder manipulador de telemadrid ha podido con usted!! los comentarios especialmente de la edición de anoche, Lunes 23 de Abril, sobre los candidatos a la presidencia francesa fueron patéticos.
A pesar de no ser muy amigo de la cadena de televisión en la que trabaja, sólo por que usted, como ya le dije, me parecía una persona simpática, un poco rara eso si, pero en el buen sentido de la palabra, veía de vez en cuando diario de la noche, al menos la introducción, pero caballero, tengo que decirle que a diferencia de lo que pensaba, me da la impresión de que actúa como una cometa, soplada por el viento de telemadrid, y eso amigo mio, le quita lo bueno que tenía (para mi), que era la independencia y la singularidad.
Siento decirle que ha perdido un admirador (que lo era a medias) y telemadrid un espectador (también a medias).
La tauromaquia es el uso y tortura de animales. Algo que debe ser rechazado, pues los animales no humanos no son nuestros recursos. Tan deplorable es entretenernos a su costa como alimentarnos a su costa.

Como puede decir que a los que nos nos gustan los toros le dejemos en lo suyo y nos dediquemos a otra cosa, usted no se da cuenta que “los toros” son una matanza, que se divierten mientras otro ser vivo va perdiendo la vida segundo tras segundo… piense por un instante, que se intercambiaran los papeles…..

Un poco de piedad con los seres vivos.
Seres pensantes? Seres humanos? No señor, engendros. Eso son quienes gozan, realizan,apoyan, pagan porque exista, la tortura infame a los animales.
Es repugnante que a estas alturas, exista quien se llene la boca de estupideces, ensalzando el crimen infamante que se comete contra seres inocentes y llamándolo “arte” o justificándolo como “tradición” tal como lo hacen los cobardes de Tordesillas o de Coria.
Es cosa de tiempo para que los crímenes “tradicionales” de la humanidad se conviertan en espectáculos públicos…violaciones, palizas a ancianos y niños, torturas, asesinatos…vamos, aficionados, que será más placer para todos ustedes!!
Los mediocres resentidos y frustrados que pretenden ocultar su complejo de inferioridad con tesis cursis y cutres para llamar la atención desgraciadamente están por todas partes. Deberías empezar borrando tus pecados originales como la soberbia,la arrogancia, la vanidad y un sinfín de mariconás de cuo nombre no me sale de los huevos acordarme. y deberías procurar vencer ese complejo, que es la raiz de todos tus males. Te doy un pequeño repaso al catecismo porque para eso hay que saber leer y escribir, cosa que, por cierto, no está entre sus virtudes, si es que tienes alguna virtud.
La confirmación es cuando se folla a tiempo y con alguien del sexo contrario; ahora ya es tarde para eso, salvo en los putis, aunque tú me imagino que vas a los de la Calle Montera porque en otro sitio no das la talla.
En cuanto a lo del matrimonio: es la unión de dos personas que se quieren; no de uno que se la chupa al otro; lo has cogido ? Y en fin, como yo no aguanto las cursilerías en cuanto a lo del rabo te recomiendo un aparato que se llama stretch penis, que en 15 minutos te lo deja en 5 cm. Aunque tu deberías echarle varios años porque si no se le escurre de la boca a la otra maricona de turno. Bueno, esto deja claro que el soplapollas eres tú, so maricón. A los viejos prematuros la viagra le viene bastante bien y un poco de cirugía plástica para borrar esas cara de gilipollas. Qué tal te ha sentado esto, majete ?

He hecho un artículo sobre toros basado en preguntas para los antitaurinos. Por él he recibido fuertes ataques. Quisiera saber si podrías mandarme algo de información sobre el tema de las betaendorfinas, porque dicen los antitaurinos, que el informe que afirma que el toro libera las hormonas del placer, no ha sido publicado en ninguna revista científica. Asimismo, quisiera más información sobre cuál sería el impacto sobre la naturaleza si los toros de lidia dejasen de existir.

¡Qué pena!¡Qué lástima de hombre aquél que considera que lo que más emoción le ha ofrecido la vida, su preferencia, lo más estimulante y lo que más le dolerá cuando la muerte se le lleve, sea no no poder ver al torero frente a los pitones de un toro bravo.
¿Se puede ser tan pobre de espíritu? ¿Más desgraciado?¿Que no haya encontrado aliciente en la vida que supere el disfrute de la tortura de un animal, que nada puede hacer ante las hordas embravecidas de los aficionados a presenciar semejante espectáculo?
Y me viene a la mente cuando la gente ávida de sangre, presenciaba las ejecusiones en las plazas francesas y disfrutaba de ellas. O los que iban por diversión a ver como los leones despedazaban a ciertos romanos.
¡Qué tristeza de humanos que para divertirse y encontrar aliciente en la vida tengan una necesidad tan primitiva y cruel!
Yo le recomendaría encarecidamente por el bien de los jóvenes que seguramente le rodearán, sobrinos, hijos de amigos…que para que no secunden su mal ejemplo como ser humano, se ponga en manos de algún psiquiatra que pueda atender su falta de escrúpulos.

Escribo desde el sur del Perú (Lampa – Puno) para hacerle saber a todos los que no les gusta la tauromaquia, que en el Perú no hay ninguna fiesta que convoque tanto como son las ferias taurinas, empezando por la Feria del Señor de los Milagros en Lima, en la Plaza de toros de Acho, la Plaza más antigua de América (1766), En Arequipa no hay domingo sin corrida de toros, aparte de las peleas de toros al pie del volcan Misti; En todo el Perú y latinoamérica existen haciendas productoras de ganado bravo, con reses de gran calidad y personas dispuestas a mantener firmes nuestras tradiciones asi el resto se pare de cabeza, así como mantenemos el culto a la pachamama (cultura precolombina).
Y por último… Qué lástima dan las personas que no pueden convivir sin molestar, si no les gusta la tauromaquia, no molesten.

Querido Fernando, qué pena me ha dado leer este texto tuyo, te he admirado por ser un hombre cultivado y no sabía que eras defensor de las corridas de toros. A partir de ahora no voy a leer nada más relacionado contigo, ni ver tus entrevistas que hasta ahora he disfrutado, no sabía ésto, ojalá si más adelante cambias de opinión, puedas hacerlo público y seguiría admirándote, ahora mismo sólo siento rechazo por tu brutalidad.
